Agreement Terms
These terms outline our commitment to delivering expert fire protection and security services. Basingstoke Fire and Security provides all solutions subject to these conditions, ensuring safety and legal compliance.
- Client Obligations: Customers must ensure continuous site access and provide a safe working environment. Maintenance: Systems must be checked regularly to satisfy British Standards. Personnel Conduct: Our engineers operate under strict Health and Safety executive guidelines at all times. Liability Caps: Our total responsibility is limited to the value of the contract. Warranties: All workmanship is guaranteed for twelve months.
Liability and Governance
All agreements are governed by the laws of England and Wales. We prioritize site safety and risk management, however, Basingstoke Fire and Security cannot be held liable for indirect losses, data breaches, or third-party interference. Clients are responsible for maintaining building insurance and system power.
Access and Safety Rule
Access must be granted at scheduled times to avoid abortive visit fees. We reserve the right to withdraw staff if health and safety conditions are deemed inadequate. Systems remain our property until final cleared payment is received. Governing law mandates that all life safety systems are installed to current UK regulations.
Quotation Terms & Policy
Offer Validity Period
Every formal quote issued by Basingstoke Fire and Security remains fixed for exactly 30 days. Beyond this timeframe, we may update costs to align with current UK supplier price shifts and technical labor requirements.
Service Scope
Costs are calculated based on detailed site surveys. Should structural hidden defects or specific client requests arise that alter the original design, these will be treated as formal variations subject to extra fees.
Variations & Changes
Our estimates exclude unforeseen civil engineering or decoration tasks unless cited. Any system modifications required after the initial project acceptance must be authorized in writing by both parties before start.
Acceptance of Quotation
A project is officially commenced only upon receipt of a signed quotation and the agreed deposit. This confirms your agreement to our technical specifications, insurance limitations, and regulatory safety standards.
Payment & Invoicing
Detailed Payment Terms: We require a deposit prior to equipment procurement. For larger installations, staged payments are invoiced upon completion of defined project phases. Standard invoices must be settled via BACS or our online portal within 14 days of issue. In accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act, interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, plus statutory debt recovery costs, will apply to overdue accounts. Failure to adhere to these terms may lead to the immediate suspension of system monitoring and maintenance services. Ownership of all security hardware remains with Basingstoke Fire and Security until we receive cleared funds for the full invoice balance.
